Although black is the dominant color, splashes of Varsity Royal provide bold contrast. Something that makes this high-top sneaker stand out is the use of satin instead of leather on the upper. The base and forefoot overlays come in black satin, while the vamp, heel overlays, heel counter, and Swoosh logo feature Varsity Royal. The clean white midsole rests on a rubber outsole in Varsity Royal with classic hoops traction patterns underfoot. This sneaker was first introduced during a surprise release at Active Athlete in Houston, and Walter’s in Atlanta, and only 700 pairs were available.
